The full kitchen includes a full-size refrigerator, glass cooktop, cabinet-mount oven, microwave, dishwasher, garbage disposal, and lots of cabinets and counter space. The eating area has plenty of windows looking over the valley to the west.
One of the bedrooms includes an en-suite bathroom, separated by a sliding barn door. The other bedroom has use of the full bathroom off the hallway. The two bedrooms and laundry room can be closed off from the rest of the apartment with a hall door.
The apartment is in the lower level of our home. It is a full walk-out basement (all rooms have windows). The apartment opens to the opposite side of the structure from the street.
There is a spacious yard outside the apartment entrance with an expansive view to the west, overlooking the valley to the Allegheny Mountains. A hose reel and lockable garden shed are for tenants' use.
There is a large gazebo that is available for tenants' use as well. Three of the four paved parking spaces located outside the apartment are exclusively for tenants' use. (One parking space is reserved for access to the woodworking shop located adjacent to the apartment.)
The fully equipped laundry room has full-size front-load high-efficiency washer and dryer, a fold-down ironing board, and a vanity with laundry sink.
The apartment is separated from the house side of the basement by concrete walls and a double door.
